Our first competition was the Central Fall Sectional and we took three teams. We brought home 2 gold medals & a bronze. In Bloomsburg, we took one traditional team & 2 unified. There, we won gold, silver and bronze medals. Lastly, we went to Fall Festival in Villanova, where we took 1 traditional & 1 unified team and brought home 2 bronze medals.

Villanova is always fun because the students put all of their heart into encouraging the athletes. The opening ceremonies were exciting with Eagles player Jeremiah Trotter encouraging the athletes to do their best. Loretta Clairborne also gave a tribute to Eunice Kennedy Shriver that was very touching. The evening was brought to a close with the lighting of the Flame of Hope.

At our summer games last year 4 athletes were chosen to attend National Games in Lincoln Nebraska in July 2010. Those athletes are:

To prepare for competition, they attended all of the events with us. We are very proud of them & wish them good luck! I am happy to say that Allison Mowery and Diane Chester became certified coaches for bocce. Thanks for all your help!
