Golf
2009 Season Wrap-up
We had a great golf season even though the weather tried to
put a damper on things. Our first practice was April 8, 2009 with PGM
students having a pitch and putt contest followed by each athlete playing with a
student on a 2 hole contest. At the end of the evening we had a picnic
together.
We had 10 golfers this year which included 2 new golfers, Jamie Berube and John Kephart. I would like to thank Joe Hughes and the Penn State Golf Courses for allowing us to practice there and my dedicated assistants Allison & Emily Mowery and Bob Tarr.
This year we had one golfer go to Summer Games and once again the weather caused problems with us only being able to play one round of golf. Congratulations Greg Focht on a silver medal.
